Upcoming Event for Blind and Low-Vision Students

Join the NFB of Alabama for a transformative day of discovery designed for blind youth, August 16, 2025, at the Alabama School for the Blind. The program will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. This year, we’re diving into the exciting world of the scientific method! Participate in hands-on, accessible experiments where you’ll use observation, prediction, and testing to tackle real-world problems. Exciting experiments exploring physics, technology, chemistry, and engineering await!

This opportunity offers your child:

  • Accessible experiments
  • Hands-on nonvisual skills instruction

This program is free to all registered blind and

low-vision youth (K-12).
