Margaret Zippora has been totally blind since 1998. Through her journey of being a totally blind parent now grandparent she has adopted a motto which she goes by and lives by each and every day.

“My blindness does not define who I am, I am so much more.”

Zippora joined the Federation in 2005 in Tampa Florida. She has held many roles within the Federation, from chapter board to state affiliate board in multiple states. Although Zippora has relocated once again; she has never left the Federation behind.

Not only does Zippora feel she has learned a lot working within the Federation she feels she still has a lot to give back to other blind individuals within the blindness community.

Zippora is happy to now call NFB ALABAMA her new NFB family.

Zippora Jones is a Dedicated and technically skilled business professional with a versatile administrative support skill set developed through experience as a Sole Proprietor, receptionist, board chair, administrative assistant, office clerk, disability and family rights advocate. Zippora is currently A vendor with the business enterprise program and the host of Talking blind podcast where she gives out information for blind/visually impaired individuals through her experiences and The help of others in the blind/visually impaired community.

Zippora is a mother of two beautiful women, Four fabulous grandchildren Who Zippora described as her strength, muse, and overall motivation. her Vision in her personal life, as well as on her podcast, and her leader ship roles in the community, is to connect people, be a voice, and lend an ear for those navigating through the world of vision impairment.
