I came to the Federation in 2017, a year after I lost my sight. However, volunteering in the affiliate’s BELL Academy and attending the NFB national convention of 2018 were the two events that made me a Federationist. The connections I have made NFB have been a great source of encouragement, networking, and even fun.

On a personal side, I am the oldest of seven children and live in a small town in North Alabama. I love woodworking, hanging out with friends, and playing bluegrass music. I have also fallen in love with writing books, and I have published five of them through Amazon. I am grateful to serve on the state board of the NFB of Alabama, and I look forward to serving the affiliate in many ways for years to come.
